  1. They're not just testing for performance, but for bugs, exploits, things that are out of balance, etc.
  2. You were able to do that in KoH1. There's no reason to think it won't be in Sovereign as well. Honestly, though, I never saw a need to siege in KoH. It takes forever and allows the defender to bring in reinforcements. I just attack and then assault. If there is an advantage to besieging, I've never noticed it.
  3. Yes! The Beta is here! https://beta.knightsofhonor.com/
  4. If you don't want the battles to be the main focus of the game, then the main game had better have a lot to it. I'm playing the original right now and there isn't a whole lot to do. I'm spending a lot of time just sitting around waiting for things to happen.
  5. I know I read somewhere that the feature list is complete and you don't plan to add anything else. But please consider this: Add the ability to interrupt these studio bumpers. I know it seems petty, but 53 seconds is an eternity to sit thought when loading up the game. Hit escape to stop the bumpers and go to the main menu please.
  6. Is there any point for a defender of a siege to not just wait it out and then engage at the last minute? Meaning: Historically, a castle or town would hold out for as long as possible and then, if the pending battle looked hopeless, they'd offer a surrender to save lives and their town. (Often, this was actually negotiated. "If reinforcements don't arrive by a certain date, we will surrender peacefully.") Is there any advantage to surrendering to a siege? Or should the defender just hope for reinforcements, wait for attrition to draw down the number of the attacker, and then fight it out?
  7. From Tang Suijin on Steam (because why post this on your own community forum?): "Hi Everyone – know we’ve been a tad quiet on the DevDiary front. Well, we’re happy to say we’ll be returning next week for both our next Diary and Stream. We also have good reason for the delay! We know many of you have been asking after BattleView, and we’re happy to say that we’ll be showing this in-detail for the first time next week. So get ready to read and tune in during our regularly scheduled timeslots. We’ll see you all there!"
  8. Medieval 2: Total War is still available and totally playable.
  9. Why would glassworks need woodworking and deep forests? My chemistry isn't that good, but I do know glass is not made from wood. I hope Kingdom Advantage victory is something you can toggle off. Never once in my history of playing have I ever taken that victory.
  10. I'd rather at least hear an estimate. "We're 75% done with the game" "We are hoping for a Christmas 2022 release". Just something.
  11. Technically, it is. It is a belief in a higher power, even if that belief is that the higher power doesn't exist. Atheism is recognized as a religious believe in many Courts and countries. But yes, it would be very out of place in the middle ages and atheists would hold no power whatsoever.
  12. I am willing to forgive a lack of sync between seasons and ages if we could get seasons in there. Medieval II: Total War had seasons and I don't recall hearing those kind of complaints.
  13. No one is asking for a rushed game. We're just asking for an updated projected release date. We won't hold them to it. Just update it again if necessary. But at least keep us updated.
  14. Yeah, a little strange that the Developer Diaries suddenly became silent.
  15. They didn't. Once a knight was off his horse, that was it.
  16. Nobody is going to want to play a game with small military castes. Big battles is where the fun is.
  17. May be too nitpicky of a detail. Though Medieval 2: Total War used charges like that I think. Honestly, charging for intimidation is a detail I can live without.
  18. I'm not so sure. I like the idea of having some instability. Perhaps if a building can be changed, there should be a very high cost so as to not make it a quick changeover.
  19. No. You may want to try Three Kingdoms, since that seems to be a focus of yours.
  20. I'll have to reserve comments until you get deeper into religion. There is simply not enough information to make any kind of judgment on the system. I personally like to see religion in the game. I'd like to see more of it, in terms of how it can affect things. It can be its own side game, ala Civilization VI. But I can see how you want to keep it relative to how it was in the original KoH.
  21. Yes, it goes to the post that you clicked on. Not to the last unread post. So if there are previous unread posts, you miss those unless you scroll up. At least, that is how I am seeing it work at the moment. I'll keep checking. Will see it better when the next Dev Diary comes out and there are a lot of unread posts to catch up on.
  22. That doesn't seem to jump to unread posts. Just to threads that have unread posts in them. You still have to scroll down (sometimes a long way) to get to the unread post.
  23. Is there a way to jump to the last unread post on this forum? I haven't found it.
  24. Different cultures and rebellions are part of the challenge. If someone doesn't want to deal with that, then don't expand your kingdom so fast. Conquer a province, make sure its rebellion number is low, and then proceed to the next. I do agree that vassalage was not used very well in KoH1. Crusader Kings 3 has a good vassal system. If we want to have a vassal system, there needs to be a goodly penalty for spinning off a part of your kingdom. Not just for convenience sake. I know you can't control a vassal province. So you can't recruit, control income, etc. But that seems only a minor inconvenience as, by the time your kingdom is so big you need to spin off provinces, you don't really need to control them. You have enough income/resources. No, if we are going to do this, there needs to be an appropriate penalty.
