Kenzo
Compared to the neat, clean game play and setting of KOH I, KOH II is a mess of unnecessary details and weirdly designed interface. I'm totally disappointed after long time of waiting to play this game in multiplayer mode. Barely can I find something positive to write about.

After playing the first one, the new interface takes a bit of getting used to. But it is familiar enough that the learning process is quick. The game is rife with tooltips to help.
Mattie44
It's just new and indeed a bit expanded, but be happy because otherwise it wouldn't have been a sequel 😉 Enjoy learning about all the new features I'd say!
Tempest
I find this interesting because this was my first reaction as well. I changed my mind after playing for some more time, but I agree that some things have probably been "over-engineered" compared to the much leaner first KoH. NewKingOats
It's those "unnecessary details" that set this game apart from the myriad of Civ clones.
