I think the map has plenty of provinces.  Really, by the time you get to a certain size, you're unstoppable.  The rest of the time you're just roll-stomping the enemy.

I totally agree with this.  Or even a random generator, though that would have to be a headache to implement.

I was talking about map mods which I would like to see and I agree with you the amount of provinces is good for the base game. However talking about game map and the provinces... their shapes are so weird. It is like a child drew some of the borders.

And yes it would be splendid to have random map generator. Although I think it will be a mod or future DLC (if they are considering DLCs in general)

With the First KoH they made a mod like this. Nice to play but many nations are made of one-city-only.

Yes that was a bit weird map. I think it should be the opposite. Instead of entire world it should be the existing map but more detailed. With more provinces. This would make conquering entire map a very difficult task. So basicly an enlarged existing map so more provinces can be put onto.

I do hope there will be a map editor or maybe make-your-own map option.

  3. Some ideas for formable nations:

Scandinavia - as Denmark, Sweden or Norway

Byzantium - by Nicea, Epirus or Trebizond. Restores its glory by taking back Anatolia, Antioch, Cyprus and all of Greece. Maybe Jerusalem and Egypt could be incorporated too.

Roman Empire - Byzantium or Italy. Restores its glory if they take all of provinces in its historically biggest extent

Italy - any Italian state besides Papacy. Requires controlling Tuscany, Lombardy and Savoy. Restores glory if takes all of Italy (Genoa and Venice don't have to be completely destroyed, they can continue to exist on Crimea or Crete) , however war with all other catholics because of conquest of Papacy

Germany - any German state, only if Germany doesn't exist. Germany can also restore its glory if they annex other german states and some more provinces in northen Italy, Bohemia, Pomerania and Silesia. This is usually in later start date if I am not mistaken

Russia - any Russian state besides Golden Horde or Khazars

Great Moravia - Bohemia or Poland

Romania - by Wallachia or Moldavia. Restores glory by taking Transylvania

Bulgaria - by any Bulgarian state, there were 3 if I remember in KoH1. Restores glory by taking provinces when it was at highest extent

Spain - any catholic state on Iberia besides Portugal

Teutonic Order - restores glory by taking all of Blatic provinces

    Ireland - any Irish state

Umayyad - by Arabia, or maybe by any arab state

France - restores glory by taking Burgundy

Burgundy - restores glory by taking area between France and Germany

Great Britain - England, Scotland or Wales

Papacy - any Catholic army that takes Rome if Papacy gets conquered. Just like in KoH I

Jerusalem - any crusader army that takes Jerusalem

    Any more ideas?

  4. What I also like about this feature is that is kind of allows you to immerse more in gameplay you like. Kind of like roleplaying different governments.

For example if cleregy absolutely adores you then we can say your kingdom is almost a theocracy of some sort. If you only care about military opinion and appease them in every was possible it is military doctorship in a way. For merchants it would be like merchant republic almost.

The revolution needs a cleric, money, and followers
Or it is supported by an enemy state, and the support is conditional on submission to a king and another state

    what do you think ?

I like this idea. Rebellions do happen and revolution would like like rebels taking a province. One can choose to help them.

  6. When I saw the map I really hope they change some borders because some provinces look too weird. For example Portugal borders don't look good.

However when I saw how small province of Calais (I think) is I think Spain or some other areas should have more provinces. Some provinces seem too large.

I really hope the map I saw is not final. Otherwise I would have to spend several minutes on fixing it manually before I start the game. If that is an option.

İ want and other Turkish people want play this game with Turkic language and this is so natural desire  and already so many games have Turkish language

That is very understandable but I think the languages are one of the least important things the developers currently need to focus on.

Technically, it is.  It is a belief in a higher power, even if that belief is that the higher power doesn't exist.  Atheism is recognized as a religious believe in many Courts and countries.

But yes, it would be very out of place in the middle ages and atheists would hold no power whatsoever.

    Oh had no idea.

Anyway they should have added more religions though. Like Judaism and Coptic Christianity. Because KoH II often seems to me like KoH but better graphics.

    So, no atheism? 🙂

Well it is not really a religion. Also it would be very out of place in middle ages. However it would be very interesting as character trait and it could make cleregy very unhappy and probably affect piety negatively.

  10. But why? The game doesn't even seem finished.

It is like if someone is making sandwich and did not even start slicing bread but you already want them to add mayo or ketchup.

They can always add more languages later in dlcs. Also playing KoH contributed to my learning of English. Especially some words I did not know of. There will probably be French and German. I doubt they will even add Italian.

  11. This is spot on what I want to see in KoHII! So many times I had to conquer 80% of provinces just for them to peace out. And then give these provinces away. Sometimes returning it for good relations but this makes all the battles and costs I spent in vain.

Closest thing to this in KoHI was if your crusader captured a province. Especially in some cases where you could restore entire kingdoms. I already mentioned once someone restoring Hungary after some non Christians conquered it. I think there should definitely be an option to create some sort of puppet states. Maybe even make some of your princes rule the new state.
