  1. I wouldn't tie it to just Empires, just generally letting the player rename the kingdom, change its style (Duchy, Kingdom, Empire) and alter the CoA would be cool. Though I suppose it would be tricky in that it would have to create a new entity rather than overwrite the one the player previously held (lest rebellions for individual provinces would yield inaccurate names).
  2. This, in combination to the fact that provinces go to whoever started the siege first, almost killed a co-op game for us. At least co-op team members or, more broadly, players, should be able to give provinces to each other regardless of culture. The workaround would be to declare war on each other and just let the other party take the province, but that's impossible in co-op, so there is literally no way to swap provinces without involving some really complicated AI manipulation.
  3. #7 is something I really hope will be worked on. To add to that, the AI is currently able to make counter-offers and it just would make sense for the player to be able to do the same. I realize that this will likely require a massive expansion of the AI logic backend since the AI would now have to be able to evaluate counter-offers, but I feel like it's kind of necessary to have for diplomacy to be a bit more lively and less frustrating.
  4. The German translation of the "Shun foreign merchant" ("Fremden Kaufmann meiden") event uses the word "meiden" for "shun". While that translation is technically correct, it doesn't really capture the meaning of the event. "Jemanden meiden" means "to avoid someone", which is one of the meanings of "shun" but not the one at work here. A more relevant translation would be "Fremden Kaufmann anschwärzen" (meaning to shun/denounce/rat out), which seems a lot closer to the intended meaning. Other possibilities would be "anklagen" or "beschuldigen" (both meaning "accuse", the former in a legal/public, the latter in a more general, conversational sense).
  5. Ever since I managed to wean myself off "map-painting" in the Paradox games, my endgame has been to carefully rearrange the political map of the world, acting less as a world conqueror and more as someone rebalancing the status quo (Napoleon-style) and watching the nations I created rise and fall. Also, there's sometimes a case for creating buffer states or not defending distant provinces that, for example, have been taken as part of a crusade. I realize that the concept of buffer states is a very non-medieval thing, but looking at crusader kingdoms, it would at least make sense to grant those independence. I can see a scenario where I, as a ruler, would want to simply convert the population to my religion and leave the rest to a local noble. It would be excellent if we would be allowed to do this here as well, especially since every province is already technically capable of becoming its own realm.
