I'm not sure I agree with this. In medieval times, society was not city-based to the same extent as during antiquity. Medieval Rome, for example, had a small population, and was just nowhere near the metropolis it was during the Roman period.. Constantinople was perhaps an exception during the early period, but I'm not sure what purpose special city models would serve, other than overstating the cities' importance?
Battles

I'm wondering whether battles will have more emphasis on formation, morale and physics (cavalry charge impacts and so on)? To be honest, I always just auto-resolved battles in KoH because I found them boring ;P. Still one of my favourite games, but the battles were just so underwhelming compared to Medieval II Total War, which I was playing at the same time.
