  1. The logs confirm that your PC was running out of memory. Can you also upload the player.log after the game freezes when you start a tactical battle?
  2. Cheats don't work in multiplayer Those are developer cheats that are disabled in the live build unless you know how to enable them (people obviously found out) The "official guide list" is maintained by Steam, not by us, everyone can upload guides there That said, if someone wants to play with cheats, that's entirely their decision. The game is, of course, balanced to be played without cheats.
  3. I'm sorry for the inconvenience, there was a server outage today that got fixed in in the afternoon.
  4. The game doesn't use dedicated servers, but p2p connections. If all you see are full games you should start your own and invite your friends to that one.
  5. The issues were fixed today, I'm very sorry for the inconvenience!
  6. Please check the contents of this folder: C:\Users\polli\AppData\LocalLow\BlackSeaGames\Sovereign\Saves\Mods\ It should include a mod for 12 building slots. If it does, please disable Steam Cloud Saves (remove the checkmark from this setting screen) and then delete the mod from your mods folder:
  7. The game is utilizing p2p connections, so if the connection fails it is not because of our servers (as we don't use them). One thing that often helps with connectivity issues is to disable IPv6: https://answers.uillinois.edu/uis/page.php?id=99981
  8. The game reports an out of memory error, although you have more than enough memory installed to run the game. Please check your machine's memory consumption and make sure that no other demanding software is running in the background while playing the game.
  9. We're working on a fix for this issue, until then, please try disabling IPv6 in your networking settings: https://answers.uillinois.edu/uis/page.php?id=99981
  10. What usually helps in case of connection issues is to deactivate IPv6 in your adapter options. We are currently investigating this issue, but until we find a solution this is what I can recommend: https://answers.uillinois.edu/uis/page.php?id=99981 After you did this, you should restart your computer to make sure the changes take effect.
  11. Are you playing on Linux or Windows 7? Please try starting the game with the option thqno_overlay_disabled, as described here: https://discord.com/channels/491878369839939584/1049754438056804382/1049794302714318890
  12. Devs found the issue and will include a fix in the next update. Thanks again for your help with this problem and my apologies for the inconvenience it has caused. :/
  13. I've never heard of a similar issue, but please make sure to verify your installation by right-clicking on the game in Steam->properties->local files->"verify game files".
  14. It would be great if you could help us solving this issue. Can you please copy this file: thqno_logs.json to the game's installation folder? Should be steamapps/common/Knights of Honor II/. After that, please start the game and wait until you see the greyed out multiplayer button. Quit the game and open the installation folder again. You should have a new folder called "logs", please put that folder into a zip file and send it to me in a DM. You would really help us a lot with this.
  15. Moved to tech support. @TemplarKnight633 can you please upload your dxdiag.txt and Player.log file after such a freeze occurred? How to get the dxdiag file: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe-dad7792c-2ad5-f6cd-5a37-bf92228dfd85#:~:text=In Windows%2C select Start and,for an easily shared format. Your Player.log should be here: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\LocalLow\BlackSeaGames\Sovereign
  16. Thanks, I can reproduce the crash with the save file and will get this to the developers for investigation.
  17. Thanks for the files. The game always crashes at the exact same moment in your campaign? Or does it also crash while playing a new campaign?
  18. Please update your graphics driver to the latest version. If that does not help, please upload the game's Player.log so we can better investigate the issue: C:\Users\<USER>\AppData\LocalLow\BlackSeaGames\Sovereign\Player.log
  19. yes that's normal. Can you try uploading this file after a crash occured? C:\Users\<YOUR USER NAME>\AppData\LocalLow\BlackSeaGames\Sovereign\Player.log
  20. I'm asking just to be sure: Steam is not in offline mode, right? Does anyone of you use any noteworthy firewall or antivirus software?
  21. It looks like your laptop is using its internal graphics chip instead of your dedicated GPU. Please try setting the power options of your laptop to "performance" and set your AMD graphics settings to prefer the dedicated GPU over the integrated chip. I'm not familiar with AMD graphics cards, but this looks promising: https://www.amd.com/en/support/kb/faq/dh-017
  22. Can you try freeing up memory or even restarting your PC before starting the game? Especially modern browsers use up a lot of RAM.
  23. Can you upload your dxdiag.txt file here? https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/open-and-run-dxdiag-exe-dad7792c-2ad5-f6cd-5a37-bf92228dfd85#:~:text=In Windows%2C select Start and,for an easily shared format.
  24. Sorry, I overlooked your comment. Please try this: Right-click on the game and choose "properties". Add the line thqno_overlay_disabled to the "LAUNCH OPTIONS". Close the options window and try again, the game should now start.
