  1. Countries that are rebelling against vassalage and trying to win their independence should receive some sort of bonus.  Either to moral or strength or something.

That will give incentive to the player to stay on their good side.

I know the whole idea of preventing them from rebelling should be enough, but it isn't.  I find I just ignore my vassals until they rebel. Then I just conquer a couple castles and then make them vassals again.

Really, the whole vassal thing is implemented pretty poorly.  You can't do anything with them.  You can't prevent them from going to war.  Ignoring requests to help them in war doesn't seem to carry any penalty.  Diplomacy in this game is really just lacking.

  2. I don't know why countries get all ticked off when I destroy the Papacy.  It stops them from their incessent whining for crusade funds.

    Those countries should be grateful!

Seriously, though, Papacy should ask for more from a Catholic country than just money and crusades.  That's all they seem to do.

It's tied to culture now. So if you want to offer a province, then its culture must match the target kingdom; and if you want to demand for one, it must have adopted your own.

I really dislike this change.  If I want a piece of land, idc if it shares the same culture.  I'll deal with the consequences.

Whats the best way to go to war agaisnt another catholic country without annoying the pope/clergy?

If you have the gold, you can go to war, accept the drop, and then just make a donation to the Papal States.  Opinion goes right back up.

So we should not marry off our princesses since it will just lead to a future territory claim and war.

    That's always been my position.

I have long advocated getting rid of the inheritance claim.  It is historically inaccurate (with certain exceptions) and makes princesses too high a cost.  Sure, you can have great relationships to torpedo the claim, but if you have great relationships then you don't need a marriage.

    Princesses basically work against themselves.

  6. More than just a few times, I am fighting against a country that has been reduced to one or two provinces and I will get a message saying that said almost-defeated country is on its way to becoming a "Great Power".

The computer has a strange definition of what a Great Power is if this kind of country can qualify.

The ability to choose the education type your child receives. At this time, the moment a child is born, they are either a spy/diplomat/marshal/etc. despite maybe having stronger strengths in other areas.

I thought that was already a thing.

The ability or a tradition that allows for choosing your heir.

My knee-jerk reaction was to say no.  But honestly, if someone wants to blow a tradition slot on that, I'm okay with it.

Add more family interactions for roleplay purposes perhaps, or to help explain why the 2nd prince decided to betray you and rebel with the support of your rival Kingdom cuz the 1st prince and 2nd prince never got along. Or how they're wives caused friction between brothers. Plenty of potential options.

Crusader Kings is that way.  --->

Satire aside, this isn't that kind of game.

Bastards. Let's get some illegitimate kiddos up in this joint. Maybe have an option to send children to Rome or Mecca or the Crusades or to a foreign power as a hostage.

I gotta admit, there is some fun potential in there.  Not sure if it is enough to justify the programmng work, though.

despite the fact that they tried in terms of music and even the style of sounding very similar to knight of honor 1, the problem is that past soundtracks are too strong.

I think that is just a matter of opinion.  Which is perfectly okay.  Some like the music of 1 better than 2.  Some 2 better than 1.  And some like both.

Since I don't intend to play the original anymore as I prefer KoH2, I definitely would like to have the ability to hear the music from both in Sovereign.

Add more variations of terrain for battles.

    I can get behind that.

Add a ransom option for captured nobility.

You can already request they be released.

Add a gold reward for battle victory that covers replenishment cost and also absorb some of defeated army

No.  That is the whole point of the cost of battle.

Also consider some kind of skill boost for troops after a victory.

    They already get that.

At the present time, defensive battles create a steady drain on a nation's gold and population.

That's the whole point of going on the offense.  To drain your enemy's resources.

Knights of honor 2 all soundtracks are without soul and do not add charm to this game and cannot be compared with Knight of honor.

I don't know what you people are talking about.  The soundtrack to KoH2 is just as good as the original.

However, I do not object to the ability to add the soundtrack of the first one in.  I like both.

Add one or two additional knight slots that can only be activated in later stages of the game.

Allow Governors to increase the yield rate of adjacent provinces as well

No, no, no.  Your suggestions are all "I understand the reason for limitations, but let's remove the limitations."

Nine Court slots forces you to make decisions.  Limited governors keep you from becoming too powerful too fast.

It takes a little getting used to, especially after playing Total War.  But it's fine.

the English Longbow which is very different in power than other bows.

The English Longbow was massively OP in battle.  Enemies would say the sky would be darkened by the amount of arrows English longbowmen would fire.

They were a very feared weapon.

I can understand if newly Christianised provinces suddenly revert to paganism in some sort of revolt but it is a bit ridiculous to think it can spread easly to places where organised religions existed for centuries.

This is one of those "it's just a game" things.  The game doesn't take into account how long the religion has been in place, afaik.  Unless there is some sort of counter in there.

You are saying none of his idea's would work but they do work in total war. If 1 person starts a manual battle then the other player just spectates or like the other guy said the engager of the manual battle can gift some of his own units to his friend so he doesn't have to just watch the fight.

    And how boring is that?

    3 hours ago, RTSfanatic said:

Don't shoot someones idea down if you don't know anything about it.

Not liking it doesn't mean I don't know anything about it.  Don't use personal attacks to try and augment your argument.  That doesn't work either.
