When I load the game the UI is fine, but the map is just three blocks of colour; half the colour of the sea; a quarter black and a quarter pink. I can't pan left, right, up or down. There's no land showing, no regions, no map, but the game is running. Alerts arrive. The clock ticks by. I can open the different panes from the UI. My king is shown. Just no map.
