  1. Sadly by todays standard games don't release fully ready. But that doesn't mean they should follow this trend. I'm sure that they could have waited releasing this game if that meant the RTS battles would be better. The RTS battles honestly need a full overhaul. It feels like it was made in the early 2000's. Archers are indeed way to strong currently and the AI seems to know this. In my playthrough I'm currently fighting army's made up of 80% archers. Maybe this is because it is England that I'm fighting but still that is a ridiculous amount and in no way realistic
  2. Yea really don't understand why they put so little effort in the RTS battles. If this was more like total war the game would be so much more enjoyable. Currently feels extremely outdated. Can only hope they will put some major work in to this.
  3. Family in general needs some work. Hate that I can only have 4 children. In a game like this I like to hold on to my royal line as long as possible. During my current gameplay my 2nd generation king got 4 daughters and then died. Luckily I still had a brother but he is approaching old age and still no son. So looks like my royal line is over just because I was limited to 4 children. Also the king I started with and his son that took over died of old age and yet I still have my first diplomat and merchant (bought at the very start). Something is off there. Finding a spouse in the later game is also to much of a hassle.
  4. Archers are indeed to powerful. Even the AI seems to know this. I'm about 4 hours in my campaign and fighting army's made up of 80% archers. On top of the RTS battles feeling like a game from early 2000's it's not very fun to do right now. Hope they will prioritize big updates for the battles. Otherwise I fear it will be a quick delete
  5. You are saying none of his idea's would work but they do work in total war. If 1 person starts a manual battle then the other player just spectates or like the other guy said the engager of the manual battle can gift some of his own units to his friend so he doesn't have to just watch the fight. Don't shoot someones idea down if you don't know anything about it.
